Как решается задание 15 на примере?
At half past eleven, when most shop windows on Kestrel Street had gone dark, the bakery was only beginning its working day. Amir had never seen the place at night. He usually delivered flour there on Friday mornings, but that evening the manager had telephoned to say that Amir's older brother, who worked the ovens, had developed a fever. Could Amir take his place for one shift? He had agreed before considering how little he knew about baking.
The first two hours were uneventful. Dough moved along the steel tables, the radio whispered above the fans, and trays disappeared into the main oven in orderly rows. Then, shortly after two, the temperature gauge dropped. It rose again, hesitated, and fell sharply. Marta, the manager, opened the inspection panel and frowned. The gas flame was steady, yet the bricks at the back of the oven had begun to cool while those near the door remained fiercely hot. Bread placed deep inside came out pale; loaves at the front acquired black shoulders.
They could not simply wait for a mechanic. The hospital expected two hundred rolls before five, and the café at the railway station opened at dawn. Marta divided the next batch into smaller trays and made everyone rotate them every four minutes. Amir watched the clock, burned one glove, and learned to judge heat by the colour of the crust rather than by the unreliable dial. It was slow work, but the hospital order left on time.
The station order was still unfinished when the main oven finally went cold. In a storeroom behind sacks of rye flour stood a small iron oven that had once been used for pastries. No one had lit it for three years. They cleaned its grate, found a box of matches, and fed it narrow pieces of wood from broken delivery crates. It held only twelve loaves, so the last batch took nearly an hour.
At six, Amir stepped outside. The street smelled of rain and warm bread. His brother later asked whether the shift had been difficult. Amir said only that clocks moved differently in bakeries at night.

Задание 1 из 4
On a wet Tuesday morning, Ms Carter entered the classroom carrying a small wooden box. Instead of opening the coursebook, she asked everyone to put their books away and listen. Then she passed the box to Leo, who had recently complained that science lessons were only about memorising facts. Inside lay a dark, surprisingly light object. Leo guessed that it was a stone, but Ms Carter neither agreed nor corrected him. She told him to describe what he could actually observe: its rough surface, its curved edge and the faint lines running across it. Other pupils offered ideas, and Leo tested each one against the evidence. Ten minutes later he realised that he was holding a piece of ancient tree bark preserved in peat. What stayed with him was not the object itself but the long silence his teacher had allowed after every uncertain answer. Years later, whenever he rushed to a conclusion, he remembered that silence.
Read the text and choose the statement that is NOT TRUE according to it. Choose one option. 1. Ms Carter asked the class to put their books away. 2. Leo first thought the object in the box was a stone. 3. Ms Carter corrected Leo as soon as he gave a wrong answer. 4. By the end of the lesson, Leo had worked out what the object was.

Задание 2 из 4
The lake had looked small on the satellite image, a pale blue coin among ridges of black rock. On the ground it stretched much farther than Lena expected, and its northern shore disappeared into mist. The expedition's main target, a cave reported by climbers the previous summer, lay beyond it. If the inflatable boat held, the crossing would save them a day's walk. They launched just after seven. Halfway across, the wind changed direction and brought the smell of snow. Tomas, who was steering, turned the boat around without waiting for a discussion. The others objected until the first white flakes struck their jackets. By the time they reached the shore, waves were breaking over the stones. The radio had been unreliable since the second day of the expedition. Lena tried it twice, heard only a burst of static, and switched it off to preserve the battery. She could not report their position. Instead, the team carried its equipment above the old flood line and raised two low tents behind a ridge. They decided to wait there rather than return through the narrow valley, where melting snow could send water and loose rock downhill. All afternoon the storm pressed against the tents. The boxes of mineral samples collected earlier that week were heavy, and Tomas suggested leaving one behind if they had to move quickly. Lena refused. They redistributed the boxes among four packs and tied waterproof covers around them. The storm passed during the night. In the morning the cave remained hidden across a steel-grey lake, but every sample was still dry and accounted for.
Какое утверждение НЕВЕРНО согласно тексту? Выберите один вариант. 1. The team had intended to examine a cave beyond the lake. 2. Lena used the broken radio to send the team's position to the base camp. 3. The team chose to remain on higher ground when the weather changed. 4. The samples collected before the storm were not abandoned.

Задание 3 из 4
At the lost-property office, musical instruments were rare. Umbrellas arrived daily, phones almost as often, and once someone handed in a glass aquarium containing two bewildered goldfish. So when a conductor brought Noor a violin case from the last coastal train, she placed it on the counter with unusual care. The case was scratched but expensive. Inside lay a well-used violin, a cake of rosin and a folded black shirt. Noor assumed that a professional musician had forgotten it after a performance. Yet the luggage label had been torn away, and there was no receipt or name in any pocket. Near closing time, Noor noticed a strip of green paper beneath the lining. It was a rehearsal schedule for a youth orchestra, with the words SECOND DESK — ELI written beside Thursday's date. She called the orchestra's office, but nobody answered. She left a message and locked the violin in the storeroom. An hour later a man arrived, breathless, saying that his son's violin was missing. He knew the make of the instrument and described a pale mark beside the bridge, but Noor still followed procedure and asked him to return with identification. He did not collect the case that evening. The next morning he came back with Eli, the rehearsal schedule and a photograph of the boy holding the violin. Eli hugged the case before checking the instrument. Noor pretended not to notice.
Какое утверждение НЕВЕРНО согласно тексту? Выберите один вариант. 1. Noor initially believed that the violin belonged to a professional musician. 2. The violin had been left on a train arriving from the coast. 3. A detail inside the case helped Noor identify its owner. 4. The owner collected the violin on the same evening it was found.

Задание 4 из 4
Priya's first day as a nurse at the Riverside clinic was also the fourth day of an extraordinary heatwave. By eight in the morning, the pavement outside already felt warm through the soles of her shoes. She expected the waiting room to be crowded, but only two patients sat beneath the slow ceiling fan. The clinic had changed its hours for the week, opening at six and closing during the hottest part of the afternoon. Most appointments had been moved to early morning. A volunteer phoned older patients who lived alone, while the receptionist placed jugs of water on every floor. None of this appeared in the training notes Priya had received. The head nurse gave each arriving patient a coloured card. Red meant that the person needed immediate attention; blue meant that they should drink water and wait in the cooler back room. A few patients assumed the colours showed the order of their appointments and complained when someone with a later booking went first. Priya spent much of the morning explaining the system. By Friday, the temperature had fallen. The clinic returned to its normal schedule, and the coloured cards went back into a drawer. At the next staff meeting, Priya suggested using them on busy winter mornings too. The cards had been introduced for the heat, but they also allowed nurses to spot urgent cases before paperwork was complete. Her suggestion was accepted for a one-month trial. She had arrived feeling unprepared; a week later, she had helped change the routine.
Read the text. Which statement is NOT TRUE according to the text? Choose one option. 1. Priya began working at the clinic before the heatwave started. 2. The clinic opened earlier so that patients could avoid the hottest hours. 3. Some patients misunderstood the purpose of the coloured cards. 4. Priya later suggested keeping one of the temporary changes.
